Emergency and Pain Relief Dentistry

A toothache or a dental trauma such as taking a blow to the mouth can cause discomfort and distress. We understand dental pain is miserable and upsetting, and want to ensure you feel more comfortable as quickly as possible.

When you contact us, we will endeavour to see you as soon as we can, usually on the same day and will provide immediate care to diagnose the problem and relieve your discomfort. If you cannot see us immediately, we can provide useful information over the phone which will help you cope until you can come to our dental practice.

If you knock out an adult tooth, it might be possible to successfully re-implant the tooth within the first hour of the injury. If you feel able, rinse off any visible dirt and re-insert the tooth, ensuring it faces the right way around and come and see us immediately. Otherwise, store the tooth in a little milk or saliva and bring it with you to our practice. A severe toothache that is causing fever, facial swelling or a general feeling of being very unwell requires emergency care. Come and see us straight away or go to the nearest Emergency Room.

Whenever you have a dental emergency, our caring, compassionate dental team are here to help you during office hours and don’t forget we have an after-hours emergency line.
